**Badges** are awards given for doing certain tasks which are ranged from simple tasks to seemingly impossible tasks (with Black Hole badges being the hardest to obtain, and some of them are impossible, even though there are only five of them) on Khan Academy. Some of them come with energy points, with the higher badges giving more than their predecessors. That's because they are harder to get. But some badges do not give any energy points!
